Cumru Township Police are investigating what they are describing as a violent domestic situation that occurred Monday afternoon in the 1700 block of Acorn Drive.
At approximately 4:40 p.m., officers responded to reports of a stabbing and found a 61-year-old male victim who had been stabbed multiple times. He was taken to the hospital for treatment. His current condition is unknown.
Police say the suspect is the victim’s 40-year-old nephew. Police say the attack happened suddenly and without warning while the victim was outside working near his front door. Investigators say they are not aware of any prior issues between the two.
The suspect fled the scene and police are actively working to locate him.
