On July 17, 2025, Spring Township Police were dispatched to Willow Glen Park for a report of a female pointing a shotgun at a male. According to police, Berks County Radio advised that the female was blocking the roadway and preventing the victim from leaving.
Officers arrived and observed 60-year-old Diana Lynn Wendler walking toward her residence with a firearm in her hand. Police said Wendler ignored verbal commands but eventually threw the gun before being taken into custody. She was placed in a patrol vehicle while officers investigated.
Following the investigation, Wendler was arrested and charged with Terroristic Threats with intent to terrorize another (M1) and Possessing an Instrument of Crime with intent (M1).
The incident occurred on Park Avenue in Sinking Spring. Wendler is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
