Heavy rain moved through Berks County Thursday afternoon causing significant flooding that stranded vehicles and closed roads.
In Reading, deep water in the Spring Street Subway trapped multiple cars. In Reading, Reading and West Reading, several areas of Buttonwood Street became flooded leaving the road impassable.
In Wyomissing, a car became stuck in rising water on Park Road, and on State Hill Road, police and public works crews used a backhoe to reach a stranded driver.
