Reading emergency crews responded to a reported shooting early Sunday morning in the 1200 block of Oak Lane. The call came in around 5:01 a.m. for an unknown age male found lying in the road with a gunshot wound to the chest.
According to dispatch, multiple shots were heard in the area. Reading Police quickly arrived on scene and confirmed a gunshot wound to the chest. CPR was in progress as first responders worked to stabilize the victim.
The individual was transported to Reading Hospital. No additional details have been released at this time.
