Emergency crews were called to Vital Records Control, located at 1110 Commons Blvd in Reading, around 3:50 p.m. Wednesday for a rescue incident involving a male who reportedly fell into a shredding machine.
Initial radio reports indicated that the victim was unconscious. Upon arrival, Chief 66 confirmed the individual was fully entrapped in the machine, and crews were actively working to extricate him.
The Berks County Coroner’s Office was later requested to the scene. No further details have been released at this time.
