Flood Warning

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for portions of Berks County, in effect until 7:30 p.m. this evening due to excessive rainfall.

Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and low-lying areas is imminent or already occurring. As of 3:15 p.m., the Manatawny Creek at Spangville measured 6.02 feet, exceeding its flood stage of 6 feet.

Residents are urged to avoid flooded roadways. Remember: Turn around, don’t drown. Most flood-related deaths happen in vehicles.
