Update: Police revise account of Cumru Township shooting, say woman died by suicide
Original post: Police activity in Cumru Township led to a temporary road closure Wednesday morning near the intersection of Huyett Street and Cedar Top Road.
The Berks County Emergency Response Team, including negotiators, responded to the scene while Fire Police directed traffic for several hours.
Authorities have not released details on what prompted the response, but police confirmed the incident has ended (as of 1 PM) and all roads are now reopened. A press release with additional information is expected.
